Thermal transfer ribbons are just one of the many cutting-edge technologies Label-Aid Systems uses to allow customers to print labels at their own facilities. Thermal transfer printing uses low heat to transfer images to roll-form labels, and the result is a durable, high-quality Label-Aid product.
Thermal transfer printing is compatible with several types of ribbons, all of which Label-Aid proudly offers to our customers during the customization process.
- Wax: Ideal for printing on coated or uncoated paper, as well as synthetic materials.
- Resin: Compatible with polyester, polyimide and vinyl label products.
- Wax/Resin: This combination ribbon accommodates synthetic, coated, matte polyester, polypropylene, polyethylene and polyolefin materials
One of the clear advantages of thermal transfer print, in addition to reliability and durability, is its low level of maintenance. The unique heat transfer process offers a higher image quality than other printing techniques, eliminating the need for a protective film laminate.
