Custom Polyester Labels

Label-Aid Systems produces custom polyester labels, tags and graphic overlays to fit your custom application. Polyester, also known as PET or polyethylene terephthalate, is recommended for versatile, high performing labels, tags, nameplates, faceplates, control panel overlays, and graphic overlays. Many refer to polyester as Mylar®. We carry both gloss and matte polyester label stock.

Polyester labels resist tearing, abrasion, and most solvents. Polyester labels can withstand high temperatures up to 302F (150C), or low temperatures down to -40F (-40C). Indoor applications include equipment labels, asset labels, UL Labels, electronic labels, and computer labels to name a few. Polyester labels are great for outdoor applications given that they are waterproof, weatherproof, UV resistant, and temperature stable.

Polyester is unaffected by moisture and practically impermeable to odors, and polyester base materials are available in clear, white, metallized, and silver. Optically clear overlaminates are also available, in gloss and matte finishes. Our Mylar labels are well-suited for outdoor applications where they may be exposed to the elements. PET also comes in tamper-evident varieties, which show a void or other pattern when the label is removed.
